The D&HRHS is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation, interpretation, and promotion of the history of the Delaware & Hudson Railway and its predecessors through the use of modern technology. This vibrant and active group produces the members-only Champlain Shield digital newsletter, maintains a members-only online forum that is used for discourse and discussion on the D&H, and uses its expertise and resources to support preservation projects by other railroads and organizations. In-person membership events are occasionally held at some of these partner railroads or museums. The D&HRHS also hosts virtual presentations and interviews with D&H veterans and historians, which are recorded to preserve the history and stories of this important American transportation system.
